"Yeah, got a forest full of those little critters. Smoke 'em out. I'm gonna smoke 'em out. And then I'm gonna... mmmm... I don't know. Haven't got that far yet. But I'll smoke 'em out. Mm-hmm."

Karen's notes: Here's what I find funniest about last night. Adam banishes the cheesy wig and turns his attention to something else. Then, an hour later, the cheesy wig comes back for another appearance! I also find the way he says cheesy wig hilarious. He doesn't say "cheesy WIG" as in, a wig that is tacky. He says "cheesywig", like a wig made of cheese. I want one in gouda!

Oh, yeah! And I love that everything he said was sleepy and slurred, except for "when you crap you smell like every other asshole," which is crystal clear.

As for the little critters, I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but we are dog sitting for Twinkle, a MINIATURE chihuahua. I want you all to imagine the size of a miniature chihuahua. About rat-sized, wouldn't you say? (sorry, Eleni)

  1. Are you by any chance a fan of You Suck at Craigslist? The first thing that came to mind when I heard the cheesy wig lines was this

  2. The return of the cheese wig: hilarious as ever! I'm just curious - does Adam remember any of his dreams (ie what he sees) at all?

  3. gez, i am afraid to say i remember nothing of my nightly musings. i have no recollection of talking or dreaming.

and karen, as for Twinkle i would say she is more rat-like than just rat-sized!!!

  5. The first one reminds me of Alice in Wonderland when they smoke Alice out of the house :)

  6. About that Beck tune: Anyone heard the Richard Cheese version?

  7. I am suspicious as to what manner of smoke STM has been employing, there.

  11. that's a funny link, but alas i work for a creative agency designing film marketing campaigns (posters, press, dvd's etc) not marketing as such.

  12. question, did you happen to watch the episode of Glee with the "Loser" rendition recently? The "fizzy with the cheese wig" line sounds remarkably similar to "getting funky with the cheese whiz" from that song!

  13. sorry lesley, neither karen or i have seen Glee, although i hear good things about it.

  15. I couldn't help thinking of Fezziwig (Scrooge's old boss).

By the way, we have a new game. I've been showing my husband a my favorite STM quotes, and one day he spontaneously read it aloud, using a sleepy voice. It was so hilarious that now I make him do it every time.

    Also, I secretly like chihuahuas.

  19. A melted cheesy wig brings all new meaning to the word "fon-do"... er, fondue (I know, bad pun, but I couldn't help myself).

  20. @~/semaht\~: Wasn't Fezziwig described as 'wearing an enormous Welsh wig' in the text?

Welsh = rarebit = cheese......... hmmmmmm.

Anyway, cheesy wigs sound like they'd be a big hit at Packers games..... 7@=Q

  21. @Marilyn B: you're welcome. YSaC is one of my favorite blogs, so I am happy to spread the joy.

@~/semaht\~: that is too funny! I will have to ask my finance to try that. He hasn't totally gotten into STM yet, but I think he would if given time.

  22. I really do know how to spell. Apparently my fingers don't know how to type, though. That should have been fiance.

  25. Miniature chihuahuas are not recognized by true breeders. The only types of Chihuahuas are the long-haired and short-haired variety. A Chihuahua should weigh no more than 6 pounds. Mine weighs four. If it's small it simply is a small chihuahua. However, if it is less than 3 pounds, it could be unhealthy, or could have a rare dwarfing gene. Chihuahuas are great little dogs. They have lots of energy and love to play. They like to burrow under pillows and blankets so, be careful. Also, be wary of large birds that could pick the dog up and carry it away.

  26. I really have to agree with the last post as to the "miniature" part about chihuahuas, it really is a misconception about chihuahuas. They do come in all sizes, colors, fur lengths, etc but they should never be called miniature or even tea-cup. If you own a chihuahua, you should be studying up on them and learn your vocabulary! I am the proud owner of 4 beautiful chi's and have learned a lot about them.

  27. Has anyone considered the possibility of him talking about Cheese Heads? Those foam wedges of cheese that people from Wisconsin wear? Packer fans and whatnot?
